Ray Khaira is a contemporary artist based in London. His work is influenced by icons, fashion, history, spirituality and culture from around the world. Inspired by different eras of history especially the powerful aesthetic of the art novaeu period, Ray often uses a combination of powerful imagery and language to produce figurative and paradoxical bodies of work which gives further depth to his paintings. Ray uses mixed media throughout his paintings from Acrylic, oil, enamel, spray paint, glass and other elements.

The process of painting for me is absolute escapism from this world, which is now filled with so much noise. The ambience of being in the studio with some music, the right lighting and a canvas in front you is something quite extraordinary. I take my experiences and try to incorporate them into my work.
